This time, we will introduce the autumn foliage of Nata-ji Temple, which is a 5-minute drive from our hotel.
What is Natadera Temple...?
This temple was first featured in the French travel guidebook 'Michelin Green Guide Japan' in 2015, and was rated with one star.
In the 230,000 square meters of the grounds, important cultural properties are scattered, and during the autumn foliage season, the Iroha maple, mountain maple, and handkerchief maple turn bright red, contrasting beautifully against the white strange rock formations.
☆Highlights☆
The view of the strange rock formations from the observation deck (designated as a national scenic spot) is breathtaking. The landscape created by the rock faces and autumn leaves shows various expressions depending on the angle, so I believe it can be enjoyed for a long time.
